Abstract

This article is discussed Rational Emotional Therapy in negative thoughts with perspective of logical positivism studies. The basic idea of this research is to prove and challenge the irrational counselee, which irrational thinking will be replaced by more rational and logical thoughts in accordance with Rational Emotional Therapy and applied the verification method that proposed by the Vienna Circle. The application of verification methods is done by making observations and direct interviews with the closest person with negative thoughts, irrational thoughts, and counselee changes. Verifying and proving the agreement cannot give a subjective or opinion based on its own but intended for the objective.

Abstract

The development of converts in Central Kalimantan is quite widespread in several districts/cities, but its existence still needs a joint commitment to foster and guide the understanding and guidance of religion in the strict teachings of Islam. Based on this matter, this research was carried out with the formulation of how piety when they convert to Muslim, with the aim of analyzing the piety of converts in their Islamic practices in Central Kalimantan. The method used in this research is interviews, observation and documentation. The results obtained that the piety of converts as a Muslim appears in routine activities such as prayer and fasting which are still immature understood and actualized in daily life. Their motivation to become a Muslim is more dominant because of marriage, but there are many factors that characterized Islam, such as the family environment, the surrounding community and their motivation to convince their faith in Islam as their religion.

Abstract

The rise of promotions and buying-selling through internet where social media has become one of the media, it has many positive impacts, such as buying-selling transactions have become easier. Meanwhile, it has negative impacts too, such as fraud and others, this makes researchers interested in researching how clothing traders on the Sudimampir market, Banjarmasin utilizes media as a promotion in order to be able to compete and increase their sales. This research aims to find out how the use of social media in clothing in Sudimampir market, as well as the obstacles that faced when using social media as a means of promotion.The researcher used field research, which is descriptive qualitative by conducting in-depth interviews and then the results can be summarized. The informants in this study were 15 people, all of whom were clothing traders who were selling in the Sudimampir market.The results of this study indicate that the use of social media as a promotion of clothing Sudimampir market using several social media such as: WA (Whatsapp), BBM (Blackberry Messenger), FB (Facebook). Those social media used as a means for ordering, Facebook and Instagram used for uploading photos of the items they sell. Those social media give a positive impact, namely their sales have increased which is in accordance with the function of social media in trading, which can increase sales.

Abstract

This study seeks to expand the horizon of existing literatures on the Max Weber thought and its influence towards the Islamic economics view. This study uses library research method and web research method. It answers question about the theory of Max Weber and how its influence towards Islamic economics development, particularly in work purposes and ethics. This study compares Max Weber thought and Islamic view about economic in which the economic activity that is criticized by the work and ethic in Islam. In the end of this study shows that rationality theory from Max Weber is not in line with the Islamic economics view completely.

Abstract

Millennial or Generation Y is a group of people born after Generation X, namely people born in the range of 1980-2000. Now, this generation is between the ages of 17-37. There are some millennial students who have dropped out of school or graduated from universities and entered to work, but most of them are still in the school system.The image and concept of the teacher in contemporary society is very much different from the concept of the past. The past teacher means knowledgeable, wise, and prudent. Nowadays, teachers are seen as educational functionaries who are tasked with teaching on the basis of certain scientific and academic qualifications. With this task, the teacher receives material rewards from the state or the education manager. Thus, the most important factor in the teaching profession is scientific and academic qualifications. Meanwhile, wisdom and prudence which are moral attitudes and behaviors are no longer significant. In the classical concept, moral factors are above teacher qualifications.In general, teachers should understand the social changes that exist in the present. Teachers must not stop learning about new things. Global challenges in the current era are also different from the global challenges from the past. Whatever steps and methods carried out at school are certainly aimed at forming character and preparing quality human resources in Indonesia.In this paper, the author will outline the challenges for teachers in the millennial era and the efforts made in dealing with these challenges. Previously the author also explained about the millennial generation, and the professionalism of teachers.

Abstract

This article examines the urgency of working based on the Qur'an, it is focused on Surah At-Taubah verse 105 and Surah Al-Jumuah verses 9-11. The method that used in this article is library method; meanwhile normative approach is the approach that used to interpret the Qur'an, specifically. Content analysis and hermeneutics is used to analyzed. The results indicate that the urgency of working in the Qur'an contained in Surah At-Taubah verse 105 concerning the importance of hardworking which will match good results and also emphasizing that the significance of the assessment of work from Allah, the judgment of Rasulullah, and the judgment of believers towards someone's (work) achievements. Furthermore, in Surah Al-Jumuah verses 9-1 declared that if all obligations to Allah have been fulfilled, then someone can back to economic activity or work. Regarding the command to work and worship, when a human works, do not forget worship because not only the world is preferred, but afterlife is prioritized too.

Abstract

This article discusses Al-Ghazali’s law of causality, there are causes and consequences that we can see and become habits that are not from these objects but there is an essential cause, namely the will of God. God is the main cause of consequences. In the realm of counseling, clients who have problems will be assisted by counselors to solve problems. However, the cause of resolving the problem is not solely because the counselor helped him, but because of the will of God to allow the resolve of the client's problem through an Islamic counselor.
